How-To Guide

How to Choose Vehicle Lettering That Gets Noticed

Effective vehicle lettering gives drivers only the information they can absorb safely and quickly. Start with the company name, the main service and one dependable contact method.

Design for traffic, not a desk

Use bold lettering, strong contrast and a simple message. Tiny service lists and decorative type may look attractive up close but become unreadable from another lane.

Plan around the vehicle

Door seams, handles, wheel wells, body curves and windows affect placement. A layout should be sized for the exact year, make and model whenever possible.

Keep a fleet consistent

Use the same logo, colors, wording and phone-number treatment on every vehicle so customers recognize the company repeatedly across Northwest Indiana.
